Solino Caffe Ristorantino sits tucked along Falkenstraße in Munich’s Au district, offering a cozy spot where coffee culture and casual dining meet in a small, warmly decorated space. This cafe feels like a pause within the neighborhood’s everyday pace—ideal for locals looking to linger over a well-crafted cappuccino or a quietly indulgent slice of cake. With its eclectic mix of furnishings and artwork that doubles as for-sale items on the walls, the interior sets a comfortable, lived-in tone that invites guests to stay a while.

Early afternoons and weekend mornings seem to suit Solino well, when the light softens into a relaxed ambiance perfect for casual meet-ups, working solo with a laptop, or reading beside a cup of their reliably smooth coffee. The crowd here is a mix of regulars appreciative of both the coffee and the personal, unhurried service and those who come for a simple yet satisfying food break. Their menu pivots around inventive bagels—like the pumpkin and bacon or salmon with egg—which pair nicely with the homemade ginger beer or a rich ice mochaccino.

Though the space is small, its atmosphere feels expansive thanks to thoughtful touches and the attentive, friendly staff who are happy to accommodate dietary needs without fuss. The café also offers some pasta dishes and heartier options, providing an all-day vibe that easily shifts from coffee stop to casual lunch spot. Whether you’re here for a quick espresso shot or a slow Sunday affogato, Solino provides a quiet corner of Munich where the focus is on savoring each bite and sip in a welcoming, unpretentious setting.

A hidden gem in Munich! The food were outstanding, with flavors that blended beautifully. This time we tried the wild mushroom pasta and pumpkin pasta, both of which were exceptionally delicious. The carrot cake was a delightful finish. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, making for a perfect dining experience. Plus, they were happy to adjust the ingredients based on dietary preferences. Just a heads-up: they’re only open four days a week.

Lovely cafe for coffee and cakes. They also serve food. We got cappuccinos with oat milk and a slice of cake. Has a cozy atmosphere and a kind staff. Highly recommend!

On the other side of the bridges, as well as near Columbus Square, we discovered this little cafe. A very small interior decorated with different furniture and on the walls there are some things that are for sale. We ate cakes and tarts (all sweet), which were a bit lean but they served them with a bit of whipped cream and jam, so they taste better. The cappuccino was delicious and reasonably priced. If you're around on Sundays and want to sit, chat or read in peace, then Solino would not be the wrong address.

I visited this charming little Italian restaurant for Sunday lunch, and it was an absolute delight. Though small in size, it offers a warm, cozy atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The unique furniture and decor add a lot of character to the place—it’s like dining in a friend’s beautifully curated living room. The menu features a selection of bagels and pasta, and we opted for two bagels. They were fantastic—freshly made with high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. You can tell they take pride in every dish they serve. The service was another highlight. We were greeted and served by a genuinely kind and attentive person who made the experience even better. It’s rare to find such personal and thoughtful service these days, and it really made the meal memorable. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a laid-back lunch, this place is a gem. I highly recommend it for anyone who appreciates good food, cozy vibes, and excellent service. It’s definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to, and I’d encourage you to do the same!

We really like this place, it has great bagels that you can eat for breakfast or brunch. There is a cute dog welcoming you and it has a warm environment and hippie cozy together.
